Digital print, collage
Irene Haro is a Gen Z artist working with digital print and collage. Her self-portrait for Gritted Teeth explores the particular confusion of being a woman in her twenties: ambitious, aware, and caught between the pressure to stay small and the overwhelming scale of what it feels like to want more. The work sits in that contradiction without resolving it — depicting the absurdity of expectations placed on young women with the clarity of someone who has felt their full weight.
